Methodology and limitations
This local adapter returns package calculation output using a sect-2 local-midnight convention. Package output is not independent astronomical validation; the stated research support is limited to the supported range and Asia/Manila conditions.
- Asia/Manila is the only supported timezone in this first slice; an invalid IANA name is a validation error.
- Supported Gregorian research range is 1901-01-01–2050-12-31; future dates are rejected.
- Runtime IANA historical-offset handling must resolve uniquely at UTC+08, or calculation is blocked rather than guessed.
- No true-solar-time correction is applied.
- Unknown time evaluates the whole local date and withholds non-invariant year, month, or day fields. Known-minute inputs near a term boundary can withhold year or month when the tolerance window changes them.
Glossary
- Pillar
- A displayed stem-and-branch pair for year, month, day, or available hour.
- Day Master
- The displayed day stem, shown with its raw element and polarity label.
- Visible-element count
- One main element per displayed stem and branch. Hidden stems and strength are not counted.
- Withheld
- A field not shown because it changed across the supported uncertainty window.
Raw counts are not a strength score, medical claim, missing-element prescription, scientific finding, or prediction.
